Video Profile
The Journeyman; Meet Your Neighbor, Friend, and a Positive Impact In Our Community
When it comes to building our important regional infrastructure projects we look to the best qualities in the individuals responsible for the construction phase to create a safe and reliable environment for ourselves and our families.
We wanted to find out more about the qualities that make these journeymen such successful and admired members of our community, so we caught up with Kelly Martin, an Electrical Journeyman and F.A.C.T. Member to find out what inspires him. We found it very enlightening to learn how the trades have helped him to reach his personal goals in life, and how the apprenticeship programs can be the perfect career pathway for young people who are looking for the answer to achieving their own American dreams.
Video Interview (1 min. 45 secs.) Kelly Martin, Electrical Journeyman "Career Pathway".
As we look around at these friendly faces who are so much a part of our daily lives, interacting with us in our neighborhoods, schools, and social settings...building our hospitals, and airports, we find truly remarkable people who are sharing their time and talents to make our community a great place to call home.

Video Interview (1 min. 45 secs.) Kelly Martin, Electrical Journeyman "Building a Family"
One such individual plays many roles.... parent, coach, mentor, the go-to neighbor, and we find ourselves inspired by their ability to make multi-tasking appear so simple and natural.
Here in the United States we not only expect the highest level of safety from our construction professionals... we rely upon it in our daily lives without even a second thought. What kind of person do you want to have built that elevator you're about to step into? How would you like the power or ventilation system to go out during your next medical procedure because the choice was made to use less qualified construction labor... just because it looked good on paper?
These are just a few of the reasons it's critical to talk to our F.A.C.T. Members when planning your next project!
